Convictions are more important than justice. It happens everywhere. One person lying on the stand, or incompetence by anyone involved can end an innocents life. The ongoing attempt to execute Richard Glossip by the state of Oklahoma is a good example of this.

Reading through Justice Nordheimer’s decision brings that to mind. The beginning of his written reason for judgement speaks of how difficult it is to discern *anything* from a confused street melee, eye-witness testimony being what it is.

Justice Nordheimer should have listened to his own counsel.
